Miss Belle Galusha, 72, of 253 North Street., died last night in the North Adams Hospital where she had been admitted yesterday morning.

She was born in Williamstown, the daughter of the late Daniel and Emma (Greene) Galusha, and was a life-long resident of the town.  She was a graduate of the Williamstown Public Schools and attended the North Adams Normal School.  For many years she taught in the Williamstown Public School System.

Until incapacitated by illness several years ago, she was active in the Mt. Williams Chapter, Order of the Eastern Star, and was a member of the First Congregational Church.

She is survived by a sister, Miss Grace Galusha, and two brothers, Daniel J. Galusha, former Williamstown Selectman, and Edward M. Galusha, Clerk of the Williamstown National Bank.  All are of Williamstown.

Private funeral services will be held at the Galusha home Saturday afternoon at 2 o'clock with the Rev. Robert N. Foster, pastor of the First Congregational Church, officiating.  Burial will be in the family lot in Westlawn Cemetery.

There will be no calling hours and the family has requested that flowers be omitted.  The Hopkins Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
