George W. Gallutia, the son of David and Mary Gallutia, was born in York township, Steuben county, March 18, 1869, and passed peacefully away at the home of a nephew, Lyman Oliver, south of Hamilton on December 31, 1961, at the age of 92 years, 9 months and 13 days.

His entire life was spent around Metz and Hamilton.  After the death of his sister, Elnora, in 1938, he has made his home with a nephew.

He was preceded in death by two brothers, William and Charles; two sisters, Lucy Emiliene Ellis and Elnora Gallutia.

He was a member of the Metz Christian church and K. of P. Lodge No. 411.

He leaves to mourn, a sister-in-law, Mrs. Charles Gallutia, of Pioneer, Ohio; a cousin, Mrs. Frances Engelkrout, of Battle Creek, Mich.; a niece, Mrs. Lester Bowlby, of Auburn; two nephews, Ellery Gallutia of Metz, and Lyman Oliver of Hamilton; and a host of friends.

Funeral services were held Wednesday, Jan. 3, at the Swift Funeral Home, with burial at Alvarado cemetery.  Rev. J. Willard Kerley and Rev. Lloyd Louks officiated.
