 TECUMSEH - Beatrice L. Furgason, 70, of Tecumseh went to be with her Lord on Friday, July 15, 2005, at Herrick Memorial Hospital in Tecumseh.

She was born Sept. 7, 1934 in Jackson, the daughter of Bert and Bessie (Lefferts) Rarick. She was united in marriage with Edward Furgason on Aug. 1, 1953, and he preceded her in death on April 4, 1982.

Bea was employed at Tecumseh Products for 30 years, retiring in 1994. She was a member of Friends Evangelical Church in Tecumseh, where she was very active as an Elder and Sunday School Teacher and she volunteered for Meals on Wheels. Bea was a very friendly and social person who loved her grandkids. She will be missed deeply by her family and friends.

Bea is survived by two sons, Gary (Mary) Furgason and Timothy (Mary Ann) Furgason, both of Tecumseh; one daughter, Sharon Argenti of Utica, Mich.; one brother, Orville Rarick of Denver, Colo.; seven grandchildren, Gabriel and Bryan Furgason, Craig Argenti, Tara Rayl, Jessica, Laura, and Doug Furgason; and one great granddaughter, Alicia Rayl.

Bea was preceded in death by her parents, husband, and one brother.

Visitation will be on Sunday, July 17, from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. at the Tecumseh Chapel of Couture-Handler Funeral Homes. The Funeral Service will be on Monday, July 18, at the Evangelical Friends Church in Tecumseh with the Rev. David Kopka officiating. She will lie in state at the church from 10:00 a.m. until service time. Interment will be in the Tipton Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Tecumseh Evangelical Friends Church.
