James Alvin "Jim" Fitzhugh, 77, Dover, died Thursday, Jan. 1, 2004, at St. Thomas Hospital in Nashville.

The funeral will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at Anglin Funeral Home, Dover, with the Rev. Jerry Moore officiating. Burial will be in Stewart County Memorial Gardens, Dover. Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home.

He was born June 7, 1926, in Stewart County, son of Leonard and Mentie Carney Fitzhugh. Mr. Fitzhugh was a mechanic with Gateway Ford, Dover, and a member of Fort Donelson Pentecostal Church.

Survivors include his wife, Lucy Jackson Fitzhugh; two brothers, Lawrence Fitzhugh and Wilton Fitzhugh, both of Dover; and three sisters, Ora Anderson and Gail Dunaway, both of Dover, and Savannah Whitford, Granite City, Ill.

Pallbearers will be Roger Allen, Darren Harrison, Jeremy Link, Jamie Parker, Ron Smith, James Welker, Jimmy Dowdy and Bob Flook.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Jim Fitzhugh Memorial Fund at Legends Bank, Dover.
