Mrs. Effie Mae Eichhorn

Effie Mae Hunley was born Nov. 16, 1882 in Payson, Ill.  She came to Nebraska Feb. 29, 1884, with her parents.  The family settled in southeastern Nebraska.  She joined the Baptist church at Pawnee City.

She was married at Beatrice Oct. 23, 1906, to Ralph Eichhorn.  In Lincoln, Mr. and Mrs. Eichhorn lived at 6919 Colby.

Mrs. Eichhorn was an avid gardener who was know for her success in raising flowers.  She also was a sports fan, frequently accompanying her grandson to school football and basketball games.

Surviving are Mr. Eichhorn and two daughters, Mrs. Fleda Mae McBride of Lincoln and Mrs. Ina Irene Batt of Elmhurst, Ill.; grandson, Clifford McBride of Lincoln; brothers, Jay and John Hunley of Pawnee, William Hunley of Rulo; sisters, Mrs. Florence Leonard, Mrs. Abbie Luedeke and Miss Mary Hunley of Pawnee City, and Mrs. Hazel Knox of Lincoln.

Dr. Paul Becker of Bethany Christian Church officiated at funeral services.  Miss Esther Miller sang.  Mrs. Mary Kruetzer was at the piano.  Burial was in Lincoln Memorial Park.  These nephews were pallbearers:
