GREAT VALLEY — Richard H. Edmonds, 90, of 4826 Route 219, died Saturday (July 17, 2004) at his home.

Born Sept. 22, 1913 in Salamanca, he was the son of the late William and Sara Kelly Edmonds.

He was married in Salamanca on July 31, 1937 to the former Gracia Boyer, who survives.

Mr. Edmonds was employed as a heavy equipment operator for Local 17 in Buffalo prior to his retirement.

He was a 32nd Degree Mason, a member of the former Masonic Lodge 239 F&AM, the Masonic Lodge 1178 F&AM, Great Valley.  He enjoyed hunting and fishing.

Surviving besides his wife are: one daughter, Donna Hart and one son, Jerry Edmonds, both of Route 219, Great Valley; one grandson, Paul Hart of Great Valley; a half-sister, Jane Nickerson of Franklinville and several nieces and nephews.

Friends may call from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. today at the O’Rourke & O’Rourke Inc. Funeral Home, 25 River St., Salamanca.
Funeral and committal services will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday at the funeral home, with Pastor Robert Thomas, of the United Congregational Methodist Church, officiating.  Burial will be in Steamburg Cemetery.
