GREAT VALLEY — Gracia
F. Edmonds, 88, of Route 219, died Wednesday evening, (Oct. 20, 2004) at the
Waters of Allegany.
Born Feb. 17, 916 in Red House, she was the daughter of the late Howard and
Fannie Pratt Boyer.
Mrs. Edmonds was married in Salamanca on July 31, 1937 to the late Richard H.
Edmonds, who predeceased her in July of 2004.
Mrs. Edmonds was a homemaker, who enjoyed being with her family. She also
enjoyed knitting, crocheting and she loved to cook.
Prior to her marriage she was employed at the Administration Building Restaurant
in Allegany State park. She was a member of the former United Methodist
Church in Salamanca and the Kill Buck Home Bureau.
Surviving are one daughter: Donna Hart of Route 219, Great Valley; one son,
Jerry (Myrna) Edmonds of Route 219, Great Valley; one grandson, Paul Hart of
Great Valley; one sister, Betty Lawrence of Rome; one brother, Gerald Boyer of
Jamestown.
Friends called from 1 to 2 p.m. today, at the O’Rourke & O’Rourke Inc., Funeral
Home, 25 River St., at which time funeral services were held with the Rev.
Robert Thomas, pastor of the United Congregational Methodist Church,
officiating. Burial was in Steamburg Cemetery.
The family suggests memorials to the Great Valley Volunteer Fire Company.
