DOLGEVILLE -- Helene L. Doxtater, 84, formerly of RD 1 Box 28 (Dolgeville Rd.) and more recently of 53 S. Main St., (Parkside Courts) Apt. No. 37, Dolgeville, passed away on Monday, Dec. 9, 1996, at Little Falls Hospital where she had been a patient since Dec. 1, 1996.

She was born on Oct. 14, 1912, in Lotville, daughter of the late David and Nellie (Phipps) Doxater.  She was educated in Smith rural schools and has been a lifelong resident of the Dolgeville area.

She was a member of the First Methodist Church, Dolgeville, as well as a member of the Adirondack Senior Citizens, Dolgeville.

Miss Doxtater was employed for many years by the Daniel Green Co., Dolgeville, and later as a machine operator for the Miltex Mfg. Co., Dolgeville, retiring in 1974.

She is survived by a sister, Helen Card and her husband Ernest of Dolgeville, and a nephew, Bruce W. Card and his wife Sunny of Tacoma, Washington.  She was predeceased by a brother, Ross Doxtater, who died in 1941.

In keeping with Helene's wishes, cremation will take place at the Chenango Valley Crematorium, Earlville.

Graveside memorial services will be held in the spring at Dolgeville Cemetery, Dolgeville.

Arrangements are by the Chapman-Moser Funeral Home, Inc., 42 N. Ann Street, Little Falls.  There are no calling hours.
