PAW PAW --  Bertha Donoho, 87, of Paw Paw died Wednesday, March 23, 2005, in her home. She was born Nov. 19, 1917, in Bluford to James and Malissa Belle Greenwalt Wilson. Bertha  married Woodrow Donoho Sept. 17, 1935, in Fairfield; he died Nov. 1, 2000.

She was a member of First Baptist Church in Paw Paw, Lee County Homemakers Extension and the Farm Bureau. Bertha worked at Del Monte Corp. for 25 years, at the Kaufman Ho-Ka Turkey Farm, and also farmed with her husband for 43 years in the Paw Paw area. Her family fondly remembers her preparing all of the holiday feasts herself; she made a special macaroni and cheese dish which everyone tried but could not duplicate.

Bertha is survived by her son, Carroll (Marilyn) Donoho of Paw Paw; daughter, Deloris (Edward) Hicks of Lena; grandchildren, Deborah (John) Ward, Karen (Leonard) Halter and Janet Bend, all of Sycamore, Katherine (William) Dixon of Houston, Texas, Douglas (Kim) Bend of Shabbona, Kevin (Brenda) Donoho of Havana and Anita (Richard) Ott of Jacksonville; 17 great-grandchildren; seven great-great-grandchildren; brothers, Earl Wilson of Centralia and Glenn Pierce of Bluford; and sister, Wilma Courtney of Livonia, Mich. Also predeceased by parents; sisters, Rosa Jewel McConnaughay Branson and Clara Belle Coil; brother, Clyde Olen Wilson; and a granddaughter.

Service will be at 11 a.m. Saturday, March 26, in Paw Paw First Baptist Church, with the Rev. Anne Hoflen officiating. Entombment in Wyoming Cemetery, Paw Paw. Visitation from 4 to 7 p.m. Friday, March 25, in Torman Funeral Home, 510 N. Flagg St., Paw Paw.
