Mrs. John Cumper Dies at 75
Mrs. Atta M. Cumper, 75, of Roseville, former Elk Township resident and widow of 
John Cumper, died Sunday in Martha Berry hospital, Mt. Clemens, after a long 
illness
She was born Dec. 17, 1891, in Elk Township.
Her husband died in 1954.
She is survived by three sons, Roy Cumper, Roseville; Floyd Cumper, Mt. Clemens, 
and Frank Cumper, Marlette; a daughter, Mrs. Donald Butler, Roseville, two 
brothers, Ira Mack, Traverse City, and Frank Mack, Marlette; a sister, Mrs. 
Cecil Cotter, Newago; 16 grandchildren and 16 great grandchildren.
The remains were in William D. Clyne Funeral Home, 22322 Gratiot Avenue, East 
Detroit, where services were held at 11 a.m. Wednesday.
The remains were take to Bible Baptist Church, Marlette, for services at 1:30 
p.m. Wednesday. Rev. Donald Lichtenfelt pastor officiated.
Burial was in Marlette Cemetery.
