Graveside services will be at 1 p.m. Monday at Memorial Park Cemetery in Topeka for Melvin E. Culbertson, 86, Sedalia, Mo., formerly of Warsaw, Mo.  He died Thursday, Sept. 28, 1989 at a Sedalia nursing home.

Mr. Culbertson was a Trans/World Airlines mechanic and worked mostly at overseas airports.

He was born April 1, 1903 at Logan in Phillips County, the son of Harry Emmett and Almira Louisa {Galutia} Culbertson.  He lived in Topeka several years before he moved to Warsaw Mo., in 1968. Mr. Culbertson was a member of the Seventh Day Adventist Church in Sedalia.

He was married to Mary Belle Jones on Sep. 3, 1977 at Warsaw.  She survives.  Other survivors include a daughter, Donna Hearn of Enterprise, Ala.; a sister, Mrs. Viola E. Moffitt, Topeka; and a granddaughter.

Mr. Culbertson will lie in state from noon Saturday until 7 p.m. Sunday at Reser Funeral Home in Warsaw, Mo.
