Ernest "Bud" W. Cowell, Sr., age 83, of Temperance, MI, passed away peacefully
Thursday, January 21, 2010 at the Sylvania Rehabilitation and Care Center,
with his family by his side.
Bud was born September 9, 1926 to William and Elizabeth (Richardson) Cowell,
in Sylvania, Ohio.
Since working at a stable as a teenager, Bud had a love for horses. His
favorites were Semi, Trigger, and John. Until retiring, he worked as a laborer for
J. Richards for 30 years.
Bud was member of God's Grace Church and had a strong love for the Lord and
his family.
He is survived by his wife of almost 63 years, Evelyn; children, Ronald Cowell,
Janice Cowell-Hudson, Stephen (Sherry) Cowell and Ernest "Bill" Cowell, Jr.;
sister-in-law, Marge Cowell; 8 grandchildren; and 10 grandchildren, with 1 on
the way.
Bud was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Leroy and Kenneth Cowell;
and sisters, Katherine VanCoppenole, Frances Bush, and his twin, Ernestine
Gray.
The family will receive friends at the Reeb Funeral Home, 5712 N. Main St.,
Sylvania, Ohio, on Sunday, January 24, 2010, from 3-8 PM, where the funeral
service will be held on Monday at 11 AM. Interment will follow in Ottawa Hills
Memorial Park.
