MARLETTE - Flora I. Cotter, 96, of Marlette died
Friday, December 20, 1996 at Tendercare in Cass City. She was born Nov. 11, 1900
in Marlette to the late Milo and Ada (Groat) Mack.
She was a lifelong area resident, attended the Marlette Baptist Church. She married Cecil Cotter on May 13, 1922 in Marlette. She graduated from County Normal and taught in area country schools for approximately 12 years. She taught in the Maxam and Walker School for some of those years.
Funeral services were held at 10:30 a.m. Monday, Dec. 23 at the Marsh Funeral Chapel, Marlette with Rev. Mark Nieman officiating. Burial was at Marlette Cemetery in Marlette/
She is survived by her husband, Cecil of Marlette, 1 daughter, Dorothy and Ward Hodge, of Marlette, 7 grandchildren, and 15 great-grandchildren.
She is preceded in death by a son Keith, a daughter Joy, brothers Burton, George, Frank, Ira, and a sister, Alta.
Pallbearers were Greg Hodge, Kyle Lord, Kevin Turner, Frank Cumper, Leslie Jackson, Roger Jackson.
