Lana Jean Corlew, daughter of Doyle Corlew and the late Vera Blevins Corlew, was born near Essex on April 20, 1947, and died in Essex on Sunday, Jan. 8, 2006, at the age of 58.

She had lived in Essex most of her life. She was of the General Baptist faith.

Surviving are her father, Doyle Corlew of Dexter; two brothers, Gary Corlew of Essex and David Corlew of Dexter.

Visitation will be held from 11 a.m. - 2 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 11, 2006, at the Watkins & Sons Funeral Home in Dexter.

Funeral services will be conducted at 2 p.m. on Wednesday, Jan. 11, 2006, at the Watkins & Sons Chapel in Dexter with the Rev. Kenneth Biggs and Rev. Dean Williams, both of Dexter, officiating.

Interment will follow in the Triplett Cemetery near Dexter with Watkins & Sons Funeral Service of Dexter in charge of arrangements.
