Marjorie Lee Cooper, 82, Elizabeth, passed away Monday, Jan. 29, 2007, in Jacksonville, Fla. She was born July 19, 1924, in Corydon. She was the daughter of the late James Harley and Olivia Peper Creech.

She was retired from Colgate-Palmolive Co. in Jeffersonville, and was a member of the Old Capitol Order of the Eastern Star in Corydon and Elizabeth United Methodist Church.

Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Gordon Lowe Cooper; a brother, James Russell Creech; and a sister, Edna Mae Neukam.

Survivors include her son, Joseph H. Martin of Conway, S.C.; her granddaughter, Lisa Fiduk, and great-grandson, Matthew E. Fiduk, both of Jacksonville, Fla.; her sister, Mary Sramek of Columbus, Wis.; and a stepdaughter, Phyllis Pezzullo of Indianapolis, and her children, Beth Ann Stapleton and Joseph A. Pezzullo III.

Visitation: Friday, Feb. 2, from 5 to 8 p.m. and Saturday, Feb. 3, after 9 a.m. at Gehlbach & Royse Funeral Home in Corydon.

Funeral: Saturday, Feb. 3, at 2:30 p.m. at the funeral home with burial in Rose Hill Cemetery in Elizabeth.

Officiant: The Rev. Alvin Wilson.

Pallbearers: Stephen, Lisa and Matthew Fiduk, Richard Crosier, Joseph A. Pezzullo III and Kenneth Neukam.

The family suggests memorial gifts to the Alzheimer's Association.
