Gordon L. (Barney) Cooper, 80, of Elizabeth, died
at 12:30 a.m. Monday at his home.
He was a retired employee of Ford Motor Co., in Louisville and a member of the
Jeffersonville Masonic Lodge No. 104 in New Albany, the Murat Shrine in
Indianapolis, the Tri-County Shrine Club in Jeffersonville and the Elizabeth
United Methodist Church. He was also a Kentucky Colonel.
Survivors include his wife, the former Marjorie Creech; a daughter, Phyllis Pezzullo of Richmond; a step-son, John Martin of Fredericksburg, Va.; four grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be today (Wednesday) from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. and tomorrow after 9 a.m. at Gehlbech & Royce Funeral Home. A Masonic memorial service will be held at 7:30 p.m. today at the funeral home. The funeral will be tomorrow at 1 p.m. at the funeral home with burial in Rose Hill Cemetery. The Rev. Stephen Spencer will officiate
Pallbearers will be Kenneth Neukam, William Kannapel, Richard Crosier, Rex Norrington, and David and Frank Jordan III.
