Fern Conley was born October 11, 1917 in Stoddard County, Mo. and passed away December 20, 2005 at the Salem memorial District Hospital at the age of 88 years.

On October 12, 1940, Fern Welker was united in marriage to Philip Conley and to this marriage three children were born.  She was a member of the Greeley United Baptist Church and she enjoyed sewing, cooking and house flowers.  She was a blessing to everyone's life.

Preceding her in death were her parents, Thomas Marion and Mary Jane (Combs) Welker; her husband, Philip; one brother, Vern Welker; and one sister, Dorothy Hite.

Survivors include three children: Vernon Conley, Las Vegas, Nevada; Judy Cox and her husband Ed, Springfield, MO, and Tom Conley, Salem, MO; 2 sisters: Katy Mosier, Phoenix, AZ, and Lottie Joseph and husband Russell of Dexter, MO; five grandchildren: Marita Rogers and husband Wayne of O'Fallon, MO, Lavern Conley and wife Cheryl; of King of Prussia, PA, Verlaine Mitchell and husband Todd of Springfield, IL, Carlena Kent and husband David of St. Genevieve, MO, Gloria Cox and husband Jack of Pittsfield, IL; 13 great-grandchildren; special family, Mark, Joyce and Andrew Stroburg of Salem, MO.

She will be Deeply missed by her children, sisters, grandchildren and by all who knew and loved her.
