SPEARMAN (Special) - Services for Dennis Fred Cline, 49, of Spearman will be at 2 p.m. Thursday in First United Methodist Church with John Scott officiating.

Burial will be in Hansford Cemetery under direction of Boxwell Bros. Funeral Home of Spearman.

Cline died Monday, July 21, 1997.

He was born in 1948 in Aspermont. He married Marilyn Blodgett in 1972 in Spearman. He was a U.S. Army veteran of the Vietnam War, and he received two Purple Hearts and the Bronze Star. He was a Baptist, and he was a member of the American Quarter Horse Association, American Paint Horse Association, National Rifle Association and the Texas Sheriff's Association.

He was a Hansford County Deputy Sheriff since 1991. He was a farmer and a rancher.

Survivors include his wife; a son, Grady of Spearman; a daughter, Bethany of Spearman; his mother, Imalou Raindl of Tahoka; and three sisters, Pamela Miller of Tahoka, June Goolsby of Lubbock and Mary Gayle Raindl of Loveland, Colo.

The family suggests memorials to the Hansford County Library or to a favorite charity.
