Death of Lucille Case.
Mrs. Edith Brown received the sad news Friday morning that her niece, Miss
Lucille Case, the 16 year-old daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Charley Case, of
Winfield, Kansas, had passed away that morning, following an operation for
appendicitis.
Miss Case was operated on Tuesday, and Mr. and Mrs. Brown, accompanied by Mrs.
Case's father, Jas. Burnison, drove down to see her. Mr. and Mrs. Brown returned
Thursday evening as the young lady seemed to be improving, but she passed away
Friday morning. Mr. and Mrs. Brown went down Sunday for the funeral services,
Mr. Burnison remaining there from his first visit.
The family have the sympathy of the community in their sad loss.
