OBITUARY

Little Marsh, April 15 - We are having more than our share of fatal cases of
sickness this spring. Mrs. Sarah Carpenter was taken sick last week Sunday
evening and died at about ten o'clock Monday morning. Mrs. Carpenter was the
wife of C. A. Carpenter.
A misunderstanding a few years ago caused a separation,
he going to the Western States and she staying upon the farm of fifty acres,
which belonged to her in her own right. The children worked the farm for her -
first one, then the other, the husband making no demands of them. There were
five boys, all now married and one girl not married. Mrs. Carpenter had a house
and lot here where she was living with her daughter when she died. Mr. Carpenter
is expected home soon.
