Clarence Carpenter, the 12 year old son of Mr. James Carpenter of Middlebury,
died last Sunday night from an injury which he received upon his head in falling
from the roof of a shed on the school grounds about a week previous. He
remained unconscious most of the time. Clarence was an unusually bright boy and
his death is a crushing sorrow to his parents.
