Wanda Lois Cantrell, 80, of Tremont, formerly of Dale, died 4:50 a.m., Oct. 10, 2006, at Morton Villa Care Center in Morton.

Mrs. Cantrell was born June 1, 1926 in Dale to Hobart P. and Eliza Ann (Biggerstaff) Trout.

On Feb. 23, 1945, she married Cletus Thomas Cantrell in McLeansboro. He preceded her in death on Sept. 26, 1997.

Mrs. Cantrell was a homemaker/seamstress. She formerly attended Dale United Methodist Church and in recent years attended Cornerstone Baptist Church in Morton.

Funeral services were held Saturday at Harre Funeral Home, McLeansboro. The Rev. Randall Ragan officiated. Burial will follow at Digby Hill Cemetery, Dale.

Survivors include daughter Norma Cremeens and husband Roger of Morton; granddaughter Kemberly Zigenhorn and husband Josh of Tremont; great-grandson Kolton Thomas Zigenhorn of Tremont; sister Helen Ruth Erkmann of Carmi; and sister-in-law Martha Evalyn Trout of Batavia.

Mrs. Cantrell was preceded in death by her parents and brothers Earl Edward Trout of Dale, Clyde Everett Trout of East Moline and Kenneth Eugene Trout of Batavia.

Memorials may be made to St. Jude Midwest Affiliate or a cancer fund for Kyle Rodriquez, a nephew suffering from childhood lymphoma.
