Wilford Campbell, 68, of McLeansboro, died yesterday at Hamilton County
Memorial Hospital in McLeansboro.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Sunday at the Gholson Funeral Home in
McLeansboro with the Rev. Luther Upton and Rev. Ned Sutton officiating. Burial
will be in the I.O.O.F. cemetery in McLeansboro.
Mr. Campbell was born Feb. 27, 1892, in Hamilton county, the son of George and
Alzara (Fitzpatrick) Campbell. Mr. Campbell was a veteran of World War I.
On Dec. 18, 1920, in McLeansboro, he was married to Grace Griffith, who
survives.
Other survivors includes two sons, Dale and Doyle Campbell of Evansville, Ind.;
two daughters, Mrs. Dena Sutton of Eldorado, and Miss Delma Campbell of
Evansville; two brothers, Frank and John Campbell of McLeansboro; three half
brothers, Claude, Joe and Harry Campbell of near McLeansboro; two sisters, Mrs.
Neva Prince of McLeansboro and Mrs. Eliza Griffith of Madison, Ill; two half
sisters, Mrs. Annabelle Roy and Mrs. Gladys Heford both of Norris City; and five
grandchildren.
