Mrs. Ellsworth Bundy, 71 years old, died at her home, 504 Fox River St., on
Wednesday evening, Jan. 22, 1958, following an illness of several months.

The former Emma Townill, she was the daughter of the late Mr. And Mrs. Hewson
Townill. She was born in Plainfield Township on April 6, 1886, and had spent her
entire life in this vicinity. She was united in marriage to Ellsworth Bundy on
Feb. 2, 1906. They farmed in this area until 1946, when they quit farming and
moved to the frank Stewart home in Wheatland Township, where the resided for
five years. They then moved to their present home in Plainfield. She was a
member of the Plainfield Methodist Church.
She is survived by her husband, Ellsworth; three sisters, Jennie, Mrs. George
Gerke of Manhattan; Lillian, Mrs. Rollie Tucker of Roodhouse, Ill.; and Clara,
Mrs. Grant Funk of Plainfield; three brothers, John Townill of Plainfield,
Hewson Townill of Joliet, and August Townill of White Hall, Ill.; also several
nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, three sisters, and
Funeral services were held at the Overman chapel at 2 o'clock on Saturday
afternoon, Jan. 25, with the Rev. Harold M. Kelley of Morris, a former pastor of
the local Methodist Church, officiating. Burial was in the Plainfield Cemetery.
