ELKHART -- John J. Bullock, 77, of 1711 Frances Ave., died at 3:40 a.m. Friday (Nov. 27, 1998) at Rosewood Terrace, where he had been a resident since September 1997.

He was born May 14, 1921, in Bristol, and lived in Goshen and Elkhart areas most of his life.

Surviving are four daughters, Janet A. Rogers and Mrs. Keith (Judith) Logan, both of Elkhart, Mrs. J. William (Jacqueline) Maxwell of Lexington, Mo. and Sherri L. Bullock of Scottsdale, Ariz.; one son, John T. Bullock of Cary, Ill; six grandchildren; and one sister, Ruth Daueman of Phoenix, Ariz.  Ttwo sisters, Margaret Briggs and Eleanor Bullock; four brothers, Robert J., George, William and Theodore Bullock, are deceased.

Friends may call from 2 to 4 p.m. Sunday at Yoder-Culp Funeral Home.  The funeral service will be at 10 a.m. Monday at St. James Episcopal Church, Goshen.  The Rev. Henry G. Randolph Jr. of St. David's Episcopal Church Elkhart will officiate.  Burial will be in Violett Cemetery, Goshen.

Mr. Bullock was a divisional merchandise manager for Ziesal's Department Store.  He retired in 1988.  He was a graduate of Goshen High School, where he played football.  He also graduated from Wabash College and served with the Army Corps of engineers in World War II.

Memorials may be given to the William P. Bullock Memorial Scholarship Fund at Wabash College.
