Stanley S. Bryant a native of El Dorado County and resident of Latrobe died January 14 at a Sanitarium in Folsom to which he had been transferred from Marshall Hospital three weeks after the onset of his final illness in early July last year.

Funeral services Monday at Folsom were followed by burial in Latrobe Cemetery.

Mr. Bryant was born at the family home at Stonebreaker above Sly Park on Sept. 1, 1880.  His entire adult life was spent as a cattleman with winter range at his home place at Latrobe and summer range at the Iron Mountain and Stonebreaker area where he and his brother, the late Cullen Bryant, carried on their partnership.

Always active in community affairs, Mr. Bryant was a member of Consumnes Odd Fellows and Eldo Rebekah Lodges at Latrobe, a member of rescue grange and for 30 years was president and serviceman of Latrobe-Shingle Springs Telephone Co.

Surviving him are his wife, Mrs. Cora Fowler Bryant of Latrobe, his daughters, Mrs. Amy Burnett of Folsom, and Mrs. Verna Minton of Camino, and seven grandchildren.  Also surviving him are his sisters, Mrs. Alida Avansino of Pleasant Valley, Miss Grace Bryant of Latrobe, and Mrs. Edith Finch of Nicolaus.
