Mrs. Emma Caroline (Nee: Franke) Bronson, 1233 Layard Ave., passed away Wednesday, Nov. 7, 1979 at the Becker Geriatric Center.  Mrs. Bronson was born in Caledonia, Wisconsin.  She was married to George E. Bronson on June 27, 1917.  She was a member of St. Luke's Episcopal Church.

Surviving are one daughter and son-in-law, Lorraine and Arthur Carlson of St. Louis, Mo.; one daughter-in-law, Gertrude Jones Bronson (Peg) of Racine; three grandchildren, Maj. George A. Carlson and his wife, Elizabeth, U.S.M.C. Los Angeles, Calif., Katherine and Wayne Miller of Roberts, Wis., and Gary A. Bronson of Racine; five great-grandchildren, Richard Wayne Miller and Brian Merrill Miller of Roberts, Wis. Kristin Carlson, Katherine Carlson and Paul A. Carlson II of Los Angeles, Calif.; one sister, Mrs. Ella Franke Wagner; one brother, Walter H. Franke; and several nieces and nephews.  She was preceded in death by her husband George Sr. in January of 1958, a son, George Jr. in January of 1977; three sisters, Minnie Knudson, Lillie Hansen and Tillie Hanson; and a great-granddaughter, Caroline Hayes Carlson.

Funeral services were held Friday morning, November 9 at 10 a.m. at the Hanson Funeral Home, 3014 Northwestern Ave., with the Rev. James Kaestner officiating.  Interment was at Graceland Cemetery.
