Funeral services for Sammie V. Garrison-Bobbitt, 96, of Crystal City, Missouri, formerly of Trenton and Jackson, TN, will be held at 10:00 A.M. Friday, July 28, 2006 at Shelton Funeral Home in Trenton, TN with Rev. Jerry Hassall officiating. Interment will follow at Oakland Cemetery in Trenton, TN.

Mrs. Garrison-Bobbitt, a homemaker, died Wednesday, July 26, 2006 at Jefferson Memorial Hospital in Crystal City, MO. She was born June 27, 1910 in Dyer, TN. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Trenton, TN.

She was preceded in death by two husbands, Gilliam T. Garrison and Everett Bobbitt; her father, Steve Akin; her mother, Linnie (nee Wagster) Akin; a brother, Edwin Akin; three sisters, Lurlene Ashdown, Bea Schmitz and Madge Goodman; a son-in-law, Bill Williams; and a nephew, Jesse Schmitz.

Survivors include a daughter, Shirley (Terry) Coleman of Crystal City, MO; a step-daughter, Betty Williams of Memphis, TN; a nephew, Don Chevalia of Trenton, TN; a niece, Darlene Moore of Texas; two granddaughters, two great-granddaughters, and a great-great-granddaughter.

The family will receive visitors on Thursday from 5:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. at Shelton Funeral Home in Trenton, TN.
