Date: Friday, January 17, 1936
Born June 23, 1859, in the Hemlock brook section of Williamstown, Mrs. Blair had always made her home here. He parents were Rebecca S. (Galusha) Blair [sic] and Ralph Pomeroy Blair [sic], who was for many years a deacon of the Sweet's Corners Baptist Church.
For many years, Mrs. Blair and her husband had occupied the Blair homestead, an attractive colonial dwelling, which is situated on Hancock road, about a mile south of Steele's Corners. After Mr. Blair's death, she continued to make her home in the house, one of the town's landmarks.
Mrs. Blair was deeply devoted to her home and to her neighbors and friends. She was universally loved and respected in the community, especially in the South Williamstown district in which she had been prominently identified for a long period. Outside of her home, her interests were confined largely to the Little Sweet's Corners Church of which she was a devoted and active member throughout her adult life.
Surviving Mrs. Blair are three daughters, Mrs. Carl R. Lamb, Mrs. Arthur B. Young, and Mrs. Arthur H. L. Bemis, all of this town; and three sons, former assessor George N. Blair, and Lester P. Blair, both of Williamstown, and C. Henry Blair of Hancock. She also leaves eight grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
Arrangements for the funeral are incomplete.
