OBITUARY

Tennyson resident James R. (Jim) Black died Sunday, Nov. 5 at 5:20 a.m. at his home following a long illness.  He was 68. 

He was a retired carpenter and a U.S. Navy Korean War veteran.  He was a member of Tennyson American Legion and Boonville VFW Post 3418.

Survivors include his wife of 38 years, Mary of Tennyson; three daughters, Tina Bayer of Boonville, Tella Payne of Tennyson and Tammy Black at home; four sons Terry Black of Evansville, Tim Black of Heilman, Tom Black of Folsomville and Tracy Black of Tennyson; a sister, Faye Deller of Dale; a brother Lloyd Black of Tennyson; 17 Grandchildren and a great-grandchild.

Funeral services were held Tuesday, Nov. 7 at Koehler Funeral Home in Boonville.  The Rev. Hobert Burdin officiated.  Burial was at Garrison Cemetery at Tennyson.
