Lucille V. Biggerstaff, 95, of Evansville, went to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on August 4, 2014 at Newburgh Health Care Center. She was born January 4, 1919 in Evansville to Victor and Sadie Fischer.

Lucy was a member of Grace Fellowship Church and Berean Bible Church where she taught Sunday School and played the piano. She was also active in the Child Evangelism and TTT Christian Youth Ministry.

Lucy married Samuel P. Biggerstaff in 1941, who preceded her in death.

She is survived by four sons, Michael Biggerstaff (Mary Ann), of Newburgh, Stephen Biggerstaff (Sharon), of Indianapolis, Aaron Biggerstaff (Rebecca), of Evansville and Richard Biggerstaff (Pam), of Carmel, Ind.; 10 grandchildren, Jeff, Scott, Todd, Melissa, Krista, Josh, Dru, Clay, Ross and Seth; and eight great-grandchildren. She was truly blessed by her family.

A Celebration of Lucy's life will be held from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Thursday, August July 7, 2014 at Ziemer Funeral Home East Chapel, 800 S. Hebron Ave., Evansville, IN 47714.

Funeral service will begin at 1 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home with Rev. George Dooms officiating.
Burial will follow at Oak Hill Cemetery.
