Alan Dale Bertschy, 46, of Springdale, died Sunday, August 8, 2010 at his home. He was born August 9, 1963 in Oklahoma City to Billy and Velta Kaundart Bertschy.

Mr. Bertschy was a Christian and attended the Baptist churches. He enjoyed time with his family, hunting, fishing, studying and collecting guns. He loved animals. He also enjoyed his work at the V.A. Medical Center where he was a phlebotomist.

He is survived by his son, Robbie Dale Bertschy; his parents, Billy and Velta Bertschy; a sister, Shanna Crum and husband Ricky all of Springdale; a nephew, Alan Ramsey and wife Amanda and their daughter, Ella also of Springdale; and two aunts, Ruth Kaundart of Ft. Smith, and Ruth Bertschy of Seattle, WA.

A funeral services was Wednesday, August 11, at the funeral home with Pastor Jason Scott officiating. Memorial contributions may be made to the Humane Society of the Ozarks , 413 N. College Ave, Fayetteville, AR 72701.
