Mrs. Eva May Berryman, 74, 417 W. Second street, died at 7:05 a.m. Wednesday in the Woodlawn hospital.

Born Nov. 5, 1897 in McLeansboro, Ill., she was the daughter of Roscoe and Luella Thompson.  Her first marriage was in 1914 to Ben Popejoy.  He died in 1928.  Her second marriage was in 1935 to Bert Berryman.  He preceded her in death in 1970.

Surviving are two daughters, Mrs. Henry Roth of Phoenix, Ariz., and Mrs. Richard Becker of South Bend; one son, Philip Popejoy of Kenosha, Wis.; two sisters, Mrs. Carrie Kemper of East St. Louis, Ill. and Mrs. Della Aldridge of Caseyville, Ill; eight grandchildren.  One daughter, one sister and four brothers preceded in death.

Final rites will be at 2 p.m. Saturday in the Harrison funeral home in Kewanna.  The Rev. Otis Stone will officiate.  Burial will be in the Kewanna I.O.O.F. Cemetery.  Friends may call at the funeral home after 2 p.m. Friday.
