Mrs. Hazel Carpenter Benedict, aged 45 years, died Friday morning at the family home in Painted Post.

She is survived by her husband, Floyd W. Benedict; two sons, Byron of Mansfield and Truman of Painted Post; a daughter Mrs. Doris Clark, of Vestal; a grandchild; and her parents, Mr. and Mrs. T. E. Carpenter of Whitneyville.

The funeral was held Sunday at the Whitneyville church; burial in the Prospect Cemetery at Mansfield.
