Floyd W. Benedict, 84, of Wellsboro RD 2, died Friday, August 22, 1975 at his home.  Born March 7, 1891 in Charleston he was a son of Willis and Mamie Frances Benedict.

Mr. Benedict owned and operated a farm in the Mansfield area for many years.  He later owned and operated a restaurant.

Surviving are two sons, Byron of Wellsboro and Truman of Mansfield RD2; a daughter, Mrs. Howard Clark of Mansfield; a brother, Elwyn of Mainesburg; a sister, Mrs. Belle Wetherbee of Horseheads, N.Y.; seven grandchildren and seven grest-grandchildren.

The funeral was held Sunday at the Kuhl Funeral Home, Mansfield.  Burial was in Prospect Cemetery, Mansfield.  The Rev. John J. Dromazos, pastor of the Whitneyville Larger Parish officiated.
