Fred S. Beeman Succumbs Thursday At Olean Hospital
Fred S. Beeman, aged 80 years, passed away at Olean General hospital last Thursday after a long illness.
Mr. Beeman was born in Olean, September 10, 1875, where he had resided until coming to Allegany eight years ago to reside with his daughter, Mrs. Aubert Burgess, 32 North Second street in this village.
He was a retired employee of Clark Brothers in Olean, having worked for that company about ten years. His wife, Allie M. Albro Beeman, passed away in June of 1949.
Surviving besides Mrs. Burgess are two grandsons, Ernest Burgess at home and Lewis Burgess of the U. S. Navy.
Funeral services were held Monday morning at the Limestone Methodist church at 10:30 o'clock. Rev. E. D. Wooddell, pastor, officiated and the remains were laid at rest in the Allegany cemetery.
Pall bearers were Robert Dougherty, Lewis Hersbstreet, Kenneth Van Curen, Charles Van Curen, Jay Van Curen and Joseph Thomas.
