Funeral services for Leon F. (Ben) Barker of 56a Abbott Street, a former Ward 1 selectman, were held Thursday afternoon in the chapel of the Davis Funeral Home. The Rev. Paul R. Walker D.D., minister of the First Congregational Church, was the officiating clergyman.

The honorary bearers were Leon F. Hopkins, Clyde H. Hopkins, Edwin W. Hopkins, Laurence C. Hackett, Glenn D. Robinson and Eugene W. Russell.  The active bearers, all of whom were nephews, were Donald B. Seavey, Kenneth I. Seavey, Winston H. French, Clyde S. Gill, Allen H. Gill and Neil H. Robinson.  The committal service was held at the family lot in Number Three Cemetery in Francestown.

Ritualistic services were held Wednesday evening at the funeral home by officers and members of Custos Morum Lodge 42, I.O.O.F., Milford.
