Milford, Jan. 5 -- Frank A. Barker of 31 Elm St., resident of Milford for the past 60 years, died at a Manchester hospital Monday evening following a brief illness.  He was 87 years old.

A native of Temple, he was born Nov. 7, 1861, son of Theodore and Electa (Center) Barker, and was a brick mason by trade.  He came to Milford from Wilton.  He was a member of the Congregational church and of Custos Morum Lodge, IOOF, and he made his home with a daughter, Mrs. Irving A. Seavey.

Survivors include another daughter, Mrs. Clarence Seavey; one son, Leon F. Barker of Nashua; four grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.  His wife, Alice (Holt) Barker died several years ago.

Funeral services will be held at the Tucker Funeral Home Thursday afternoon, with Rev. J. Wayne Haskell, minister of the Congregational church, officiating.

Burial will be in Riverside Cemetery under the arrangements of Leon C. Tucker, funeral director.
