DOE RUN -- William "Richard" Barger, 65, of Doe Run, passed away Aug. 16, 2000, at his residence.  He was born Sept. 12, 1934, In Indianapolis, IN, the son of Virginia Patrick-Gossett.

He married Doris Jean Lindsey on Jan. 31, 1957, in St. Louis.  He was employed for many years as a mechanic for the Farmington R-7 School District prior to retiring in 1994.  Mr. Barger served in the United States Air Force during the Vietnam Era.

Mr. Barger is survived by his wife, Doris J. Barger of the home; his mother, Virginia Gossett of Greenfield, IN; sons, William Barger Jr. of Farmington and Jerry Barger of Doe Run; daughters, Belinda "Sue" Baker of Irondale and Debbie Hensley of Doe Run; 10 grandchildren, two great-grandchildren; two brothers, Delbert Bollinger and Nathan Bollinger, both of the state of Indiana.

Visitation will be Thursday from 6-8 p.m. at the Wilson Funeral Home in Fredericktown.  Funeral services will be Friday at 11 a.m. at the Wilson Funeral Home with Pastor Raymond Michael officiating.  Interment will be in the Christian Cemetery in Fredericktown.
