COOPERSTOWN -- Mrs. Beulah Bancroft of Schuyler Lake died Saturday, Jan. 19, 2002, at The Meadows.

She was born in Springfield on Aug. 31, 1919, a daughter of Victor and Anna (Werner) Galusha.

Beulah married Donald L. Bancroft on April 7, 1942. She and her family lived in the Schuyler Lake area where she devoted herself to her family, cooking and working on the family farm.

She is survived by a daughter and son-in-law, Patricia and Peter Woytowich of South Columbia; a son and daughter-in-law, David and Diane Bancroft of Schuyler Lake; seven grandchildren, Ronald, Jason and Lindsay Bancroft, Peter Woytowich, Lisa Valentine, Cheryl Myers and Jodi Clark; 19 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandson; three sisters, Helen Robinson of Richfield, Mildred Vair of Eaton and Margaret Vickerson of East Springfield; and several nieces and nephews.

She was predeceased by her husband, Donald L. Bancroft; a son, Richard Bancroft; a granddaughter, Julie Woytowich; a great-granddaughter, Tammy Clark; a sister, Frances Beach; and two brothers, Robert and George Galusha.

A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, Jan. 22, 2002, at 2 p.m. at the Tillapaugh Funeral Home in Cooperstown, with the Rev. Robert Kazinski, pastor of the Milford United Methodist Church, officiating.

Calling hours will be on Tuesday, Jan. 22, 2002, from 1 to 2 p.m. at the Tillapaugh Funeral Home in Cooperstown, when the family will be in attendance.

Burial will be in the spring at the Schuyler Lake Cemetery in Schuyler Lake.

Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Tillapaugh Funeral Service, Cooperstown and Milford.
