E. S. Baldwin Dies at Age 83

Edmund (Ed) S. Baldwin, 83, died in a hospital in Kalispell early Saturday morning. Mr. Baldwin was a native of Lake City, Minn. He made his home in Iowa for a time before coming to Simpson, Mont., from Sac City, Iowa in 1911. In 1928 he moved to the Flathead and settled on a farm in the Egan community where he farmed. He retired in 1949 and moved to the Evergreen community.

He was a long-time member of the Modern Woodmen of America. In 1912 Mr. Baldwin married to Breeta Hilliard, and is now survived by his wife, at the family home in Evergreen. He is also survived by five sons, Raymond of Great Falls, Melvin of Newport, Ore., Jerrel and Merel Baldwin both of Creston, and Wilbert Baldwin of Williamsville, N.Y.; two daughters, Gladys Danielson of Birch Grove and Edna Johnson of Libby; and 17 Grandchildren.

Funeral service for Mr. Baldwin will be announced by the Waggener & Campbell Funeral Home.
