Leone "Lee" Baker, 86, Green Bay, formerly of De Pere, Wis., Jupiter, Fla., Sturgeon Bay, Wis. and Reno, Nev., died unexpectedly at her residence, Thursday, April 24, 2008. She was born March 22, 1922, in Green Bay, to the late Ed and Emily (Stika) Meuleman. She was a graduate of West High School-Green Bay. Lee worked for Freeman Paper Company and the Brown County Library before retiring to travel between Wisconsin and Florida. She married Donald E. Baker on Aug. 19, 1942 in Washington, D.C.

"Nana", as she was called by her family, was loved by many. She loved to play cards, read books and thoroughly enjoyed being surrounded by family and friends. She was a true "Packer Backer" from the beginning and braved the cold weather and the frozen tundra on many Sundays for her Green Bay Packers.

Survivors include her older sister, Mary Patterson, Green Bay; son, Todd (Melissa) Baker, Reno, Nev.; daughter, Julie (Nicholas) Schetter, Nokomis, Fla.; four granddaughters, four great-grandchildren and their families, nieces, nephews and friends.

Lee was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; her baby daughter, Barbara Lee Baker; her brother, Ray Meuleman; two sisters, Lorayne Hintz and Delores Brown; and two infant sisters, Virginia and Elaine.

A Celebration of Her Life will be on Tuesday, April 29, 2008, at 5 p.m. at Ryan Funeral Home, 305 N. Tenth St. West De Pere, Wis. Visitation will be held from 4 p.m. until the Celebration of Lee's Life.
