Beatrice (Galusha) Baker, 82, of Vernon, wife of
George Baker died Friday, April 27, 2012, with her loving family by her side.
She was born in Ballston Spa, N.Y., Sept. 8, 1929, to the late Clesson and
Nellie (Van Lew) Galusha. Beatrice loved tending to her flower gardens and
spending time with her family.
Besides her husband George, she is survived by her daughter, Lorraine, and her
husband, Alex; her sons, Donald, Burton, and Christopher; her brother, Roy; her
sister, Shirley; her grandchildren, Evan, Nathaniel, Matthew, Dawn, Kelly,
Cheryl, Gregory, and Earl; her great-grandchildren Kirra-Lyn, Scott, and George;
her great-great- grandchild, Georgie; and a very dear family friend, Anthony.
She was predeceased by her son, Ronald; her brother, Earl; and her sisters,
Charlotte and June.
Relatives and friends may join the family from 2 to 4 p.m. on Sunday, April 29,
2012, at The Burke-Fortin Funeral Home, 76 Prospect St, Rockville.
A Graveside service and burial will take place at Powell Wiswell Cemetery,
Ballston Spa, N.Y., on Tuesday, May 1, 2012, at 1 p.m.
