Lucy S. Bahun, age 92, of Portage, IN, passed away on Saturday, May 9, 2009 at Horton VNA Hospice in Valparaiso, IN.

She is survived 2 daughters, Carole (Kenneth) Waters of Monticello, KY and Judith (Bernard) Lavery of Bluffton, SC; 5 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by her husband of 71 years, Mark Bahun; son, Walter Jerry Bahun; 3 brothers, Harvey, Lloyd, and Clayton Francis "Jerry" Quenette; and 1 sister, Nelle Gray.

Funeral Services will be held Tuesday, May 12, 2009, at 11:00 AM, at Geisen Funeral Home, 7905 Broadway in Merrillville, IN, with Rev. Mark Wilkins officiating. Interment at Calumet Park Cemetery in Merrillville, IN. Friends may visit with the family, Monday, May 11, 2009, from 4:00-8:00 PM, at Geisen Funeral Home.

Lucy was a member of Christ Presbyterian Church of Crown Point, IN. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given to Horton VNA Hospice, 501 Marquette, Valparaiso, IN, 46383 or a charity of your choice.
