Funeral services for Mrs. Grace Asbell, 69, who died Dec. 23, at her home in Dexter, were held Tuesday afternoon at the First General Baptist Church there.  The Rev. Don Stafford of Bloomfield officiated, assisted by the Rev. L. W. Patterson of Dexter.  Burial, directed by Chiles Chapel of Bloomfield, was in Bluff Cemetery at Idalia.

Born at Wayne City, Illinois, Aug. 14, 1892, Mrs. Asbell had resided at Bloomfield and in Beech Grove Community, before moving to Dexter.

On March 15, 1911, she was married to W. W. Asbell, who survives with six children:  Louis and Walter Asbell of Bloomfield,  Mrs. Ruthie Barker, Mrs. Mary Killmer, Alfred Asbell, and Mrs. Virgie Wilson of Dexter.  Thirteen grandchildren and one great-grandchild also survive.
