She was born September 6, 1891, in Steuben County, daughter of Frank and Jennie (Sams) Braman. A lifelong resident of the county, Mrs. Anspaugh taught for 44 years, teaching at Crooked Lake, Angola High School, Metz School, and 26 years in the Fremont School System.
She was a member of the Pleasant View Church of Christ in Angola and also was a 50-year member of the Rebekah Lodge. Mrs. Anspaugh was active in church and always willing to do her share.
She was married to Glen Anspaugh on June 5, 1919. He preceded her in death four years ago.
Survivors include one sister, Pearle Sutton, of Angola; two nephews, Max Spangle, Angola, and Robert Spangle, Phoenix Arizona; and a grand niece, Maxine Spangle Herl. Mrs. Herl lived in the Anspaugh home for 19 years and was regarded as a daughter by them.
Funeral services were conducted at 2 p.m. Monday at the Weicht Funeral Home with Dr. Glenn Radcliffe, pastor of the Pleasant View Church of Christ, officiating. Interment followed in Circle Hill Cemetery.
