Oliver Woodford Anderson, 82, Vincennes Route 1, died at 4 a.m. Saturday at the Good Samaritan Hospital after a brief illness.  He was a retired farmer and a native of Hamilton county, Illinois.  He was a member of the Free Methodist church of Vincennes.

Surviving are six children:  Dwight, Cyrle, Willard and Francis, all of Vincennes; Charles of Anderson, Ind.; Ernest of Merit Island, Fla.; a brother, Henry Anderson, Detroit, Mich.; four sisters, Mrs. Carroll Ward, Mt. Vernon, Ill.; Mrs. Maude Mason and Mrs. Mamie Hubbard, both of Mt. Vernon, Ill.; Mrs. Bessie Lyons, McLeansboro, Ill.; 29 grandchildren and 23 great-grandchildren.  His wife, Edith, died in 1938.

Friends may call at the Flummerfelt chapel after 2 p.m. Sunday.  Funeral services will be held at the chapel at 2 p.m. Tuesday, Rev. P. H. Current officiating.  Burial will be in Fairview cemetery.
