Name: Charles Maxedon Anderson

He was born Nov. 23, 1906 in Lawrence County, Ill. and lived in the Anderson area since 1936. He retired from Inland-Fisher Guide in 1965 after 30 years of employment. He was a former member of Otterbein United Methodist Church. He was a 50 year member of Fellowship Lodge 681, where he had been Past Master in 1955, Past Patron of Order of Eastern Star, Chapter 591, and a member of UAW Local 663.
Survivors include five daughters and two sons-in-law; Louise and Vance Downey, Dorothy Shanklin, Betty J. Anderson, Connie Sue and John Corwin and Virginia Anderson; a brother Ernest H. Anderson of Florida; a daughter-in-law, Doris Anderson; a son-in-law, Bud Hopkins; 11 grandchildren, Carol Downey, Steve Hiatt, Paula Jellison, Mark Anderson, Diane Hiatt, Terry Hopkins, Joseph Anderson, Sally Dallas, Kathy Newsome, Jennifer, Speer, and Joel Corwin; 12 great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his wife Grace (Dukes) Anderson in 1980; a son, Paul G. Anderson in 1990 and a daughter, Wilma Hopkins in 1994.
Services will be at 11:30 a.m. Friday at Robert D. Loose Funeral & Crematory with the Rev. Jack Carson officiating. Burial will be in Anderson Memorial Park cemetery.
Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home. Masonic memorial service will be at 5:45 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
