Alvis "Andy" LaMar Anderson, 69, 5413 N. Old US 41, died at 4:45 a.m. today, May 13, 2002 in Vincennes.

Born Sept. 24, 1932 in Vincennes, he was the son of Willard and Sylvia (Allen) Anderson.

He had worked at the Prestolite battery plant and then was an independent truck driver.  He was a member of the Upper Indiana Presbyterian Church, Masonic Lodge and Shriners.

Survivors include a daughter, Rebecca Kellams of Vincennes; a companion, Emma Purcell of Vincennes; two grandchildren and a great-grandchild.  A brother and a sister are deceased.

A graveside service will be conducted at 2 p.m. Wednesday in Memorial Park Cemetery by the Rev. George Ford.  There will be no visitation.

Arrangements are being handled by Goodwin Funeral Home.
