Lucinda Wheeler Allen, daughter of Henry Wheeler, was born Aug. 15th, 1844,
departed this life, April 2, 1926, age 81 years, 8 months and,17days.
She was united in marriage to Jacob Allen in the year of 1862. To this union was
born 6 children, 5 girls and one boy, namely, Alice Stevens, Mary Allen, who
preceded her in death at the age of 5 years, Ida Millspaugh, Julia Oldham, Lora
Irvin and John Allen, all of Hamilton County.
She professed faith in Christ at an early age and joined the Methodist Church at
Concord and remained a faithful member until death.
She leaves to mourn her departure 5 children, 11 grandchildren and 6
great-grandchildren and a host of relatives and friends, her husband having
preceded her in death 5 years ago.
The funeral was conducted at Concord, April 4th, by Rev. W. W. Bratton.
